Spooky Season Vibes: Modeling the New Tapestry Crochet Bat Wing Headband!

Image
Hello, fellow makers and crochet lovers! 🦇✨ If you caught my last post, you know I’ve been working hard on a brand-new design featuring tapestry crochet wings. Today, I am incredibly excited to finally share how the finished piece looks when worn! In the photos, you can see how stunningly the headband fits. The bold, black silhouette of the wings stands out beautifully against the light beige background. Thanks to the tapestry crochet technique, the fabric is dense, cozy, and perfectly snug for those crisp autumn walks. The subtle embroidered details along the outline give the wings that extra bit of depth and character. As a quick reminder for those planning to make this: I used YarnArt Jeans yarn and a 3.0 mm hook . It is a quick, engaging project that works up beautifully, and the geometric look makes it an amazing unisex accessory for both men and women. The detailed PDF pattern—complete with a full visual chart and row-by-row instructions—is in the final stages of testing...

🦇 Coming Soon! My New Pattern: The "Bat Wings" Float-Free Headband Hey there, my lovely makers! 🍂✨ Autumn is officially in full swing, and preparations for the most mystical holiday of the year—Halloween—are well underway. I am absolutely thrilled to finally share what I’ve been working on behind the scenes: a cozy, stylish headband featuring a bat-wing motif! For this project, I chose a soft half-wool blend yarn. It’s perfect for that crisp October weather—keeping you warm without causing overheating. But the absolute best part of this headband isn't just the yarn, it’s the technique! The Secret to a Flawless Inside 🤫 I know many crocheters avoid colorwork because they dread tangled yarn and messy floats on the back that constantly snag on your hair. Well, I solved that problem! This entire headband is made using tapestry crochet , completely float-free on the wrong side. The back looks just as neat, smooth, and stretchy as the front. See How Easy It Is! 📹 To help yo...

The Story Behind the Penelope Dress: Bringing Boho & Luxury to Doll Clothes 🧶✨

The Story Behind the Penelope Dress: Bringing Boho & Luxury to Doll Clothes 🧶✨ Hey everyone, happy knitting and crocheting! I’m so excited to share a little behind-the-scenes look at how my latest design—the Penelope Dress Pattern —came to life. If you love dressing up 18-inch dolls, this one is for you! I really wanted to create a textured, layered boho outfit that feels high-end, almost like a miniature designer piece, but is still super fun and easy to stitch up.  Meet Penelope! The perfect mix of fun boho layers and a sweet, classic look. Let’s talk about colors! 🎨 Choosing the yarn for this project took me quite some time. A lot of people associate "luxury" clothing with just beige, gray, or neutral tones. But let's be honest—on a small doll, monochrome can sometimes look a bit dull! I wanted something bright and cheerful, but still tasteful and cozy. So, I picked a rich, deep blue for the main color. It feels grounded and elegant. To make it pop, I added a s...

Meet Litha, the Forest Druid Doll + Exciting News About My Patreon! 🌿✨

Image
Hello, my dear creative friends! I am so incredibly happy to finally share my latest creation with you—meet Litha, the Forest Druid Doll .  If you love folklore, magic, and cozy autumn vibes just as much as I do, this character will steal your heart. Litha is a true keeper of the forest. Her look is filled with rich textures, beautiful layers, and deep symbolic details. She wears a beautiful green dress topped with a traditional apron dress, which features an intricate medallion inspired by old Irish lace and the ancient "bourdon" technique. There is even a piece of true Irish folklore woven into her story! For her medallion, I used a small ring that I found inside a festive Barmbrack —a traditional Irish autumn cake. In Ireland, we have a beautiful custom where finding a baked-in ring means good luck and that you might get married soon! If you would love to bring this magical herbalist doll to life with your own hands, I have some wonderful news for you. 🧵 Get the Pattern ...

🌼 Behind the Stitches: From Dandelions to Mystical Amulets (+ A Special Invitation!) Hello, my lovely yarn friends and cozy reading enthusiasts! Lately, my design studio has been filled with the aroma of morning tea, the comforting sound of turning pages, and, of course, endless rows of textured stitches. I have been completely immersed in creating a brand-new collection of 3D botanical and mystical book accessories. If you’ve been following my updates, you might have caught a glimpse of my latest two favorites: The Sun-Kissed Dandelion — featuring a fluffy, multi-layered texture that playfully peeks out from the top of your book, bringing back those warm summer meadow vibes. The Mystical Evil Eye (Nazar Amulet) — a deeply meaningful protective charm worked in a seamless continuous spiral with stunning raised ridges. Every time I develop these designs, so much happens behind the scenes: hunting for the perfect yarn shades, frogging a leaf five times just to get the curves right, and...
